To raise $1 million from individual donors!
The time we are living in is fraught & uncertain. And while some may get weary and lose hope. Black Men Teach is doing the opposite. We are focusing our energy & doubling our effort to do the work to make our community more equitable. We are intentionally kicking of 2026 boldly. We are announcing our goal to raise $1 million from individuals by December 31, 2026. Yes! It is bold.
This is triple what we have raised from individuals ever. We believe with individuals like you, we can.
Studies have proven that educational outcomes for Black students are significantly improved when they have had a Black teacher at some point during kindergarten through 5th grade.
Each year BMT continues to add to the pipeline of Black male teachers in Twin Cities schools and works diligently to ensure the pipeline itself becomes a vibrant, empowering and sustaining fellowship of men committed to outstanding teaching. We are right on track towards reaching our fiscal year 2026 goal of at least 20% of all teachers serving our eight partner elementary schools will be Black men.
Together, we will achieve equity in education. Your investment & partnership in the programs of Black Men Teach will help to achieve the environment and conditions where Black male teachers can thrive, because our children’s schooling experience will never be complete without them.
There is no amount too small. Every $ will help us achieve our $1 million goal.
